Lyndon Public Fishing is located alongside our Lyndon Fish Hatcheries Site @ 1738 Queen st. (see 'Contact Us' page for a Google Map) We are a short drive from surrounding areas, in an ideal outdoor tranquil setting. Picnic tables are set around the pond for your convenience to picnic and relax while you fish! We do our utmost to create an environment to build strong family ties for generations to come. Our "family" here at Lyndon Public Fishing are eager to make your experience memorable.
Open for fishing and fly-fishing beginning Easter weekend right through until Thanksgiving weekend!
Easter to the end of June, we are open all holidays and weekends
from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Starting July long weekend through to the Labour Day weekend, we are open seven days a week!

After Labour Day until Thanksgiving weekend, we are open weekends and holidays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
We accomodate large groups for company picnics, churches, scouts, and the "Cops for Kids" through Waterloo Region Police Association. Nursing and Retirement Homes love this experience. Group Homes also have come back again and again. A great experience for all ages! Group rates are available.
Please call ahead to book a group, and reserve a special day.
Even from the beginner fisherman to the experienced fisherman, we are here to help you enjoy your experience. Bring your own equipment, or you may rent a rod. Fish with worms or lures, your choice. You are welcome to bring your own worms, however worms are the only live bait allowed in order to protect our pond and the rainbow trout. We will supply you with a large net and a bucket for your prize catch! You must keep what you catch. The trout can not go back in pond, in order to protect the integrity of the fish. With pleasure we always clean your fish for you at no extra charge, and send it home in a bag for your convenience.
Take your catch home for a delicious meal. Or you may rent our BBQ or bring your own cooking needs. Enjoy your fish dinner right here at our pond. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks. We have recycle and garbage bins around our pond for your clean up after.
Fly Fisherman groups like, Natural Sports, Grand River Trout Fitters and KW Fly Fishing Club have experienced many great times here for Fly Fishing. Catch and Release only for Fly Fishing.
Prices for Fly Fisherman:
Catch and Release only, using barbless hooks is $17.50 per hour.
Prices for Public Fishing
$5.00 admission, just for the fisherman.
Children 5 and under are free!
$6.00 per pound for the rainbow trout you catch (cleaning is no charge)
$6.00 per rod rental
$3.00 per dozen for Worms. Worms are the only live bait permitted.
Pop, Water and Chips are $1.00 each
Washroom facilities on site.
Pets are allowed on leash only, and must be cleaned up after, if necessary.
