Lyndon Fish Hatcheries Inc. is certified, disease free under "Canadian Fish Health Protection Regulations", administered by Fisheries and Oceans Canada. Our farm is licensed and inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources as well as being inspected yearly by CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Ageny) and Waterloo Region Public Health Works. NOAA (Northern Ontario Aquaculture Association) verifies that we are a hatchery of quality and integrity.

Founded in 2000, with two sites in Ontario, our main facility in New Dundee focuses on hatching eggs from our renowned Lyndon Rainbow Trout Brood Stock. Our brood stock are fed only the highest quality feed and our partnership with Guelph University makes us one of the leading Canadian hatcheries in Brood Program Genetics. We hatch our fish in high oxygen, crystal clear water derived from multiple gravity flow wells that deliver a constant water temperature of 10 degrees Celsius. These ideal conditions allow us to spawn, hatch and grow our esteemed trout for markets nationally and internationally. The second facility on Manitoulin Island was established in 2005 to take advantage of the pristine waters of Northern Ontario.This tranquil and immaculate environment allow our fish to grow in the most desirable and uncontaminated waters available. Our brilliant fish are desired and admired by our customers but expected by our family and employees.
The focus of our business is selling eyed eggs and fingerlings nationally and internationally. Our facilities allow us to sell fish ranging from sack fry on feed to 100 gram trout. All of our fingerlings are transported in Ontario by the President himself, Lynn Rieck. Lynn's tri-axle trailer, with specialized oxygenated tanks and years of experience behind it ensure the highest quality transportation for any of our products. We also service markets nationally in Alberta, British Columbbia, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan and Quebec, as well as internationally in China and Iran.
We also have a smaller segment for farm gate sales of Smoked Rainbow Trout Fillets. Our fillets are processed and completely de-boned at a federally inspected plant. We perform our own smoking at our New Dundee site, which follows the Ministry of Natural Resources, CFIA and Pubic Health Department's criteria.
At this naturally spring fed site, located just outside of the town of New Dundee, (across from the New Dundee Golf Course) we have a well-stocked 1.5 acre pond of our feisty Rainbow Trout that is open for fishing.
